How long will it take for me to get my tools? Hopefully 6-8 weeks from the date of order, but often more quickly (when we’re not busy trying to build a house or move the school bus we work out of).
Occasionally it can take longer than that due to unforeseen circumstances like postal mishaps, or setbacks in manufacturing. We work hard and try to get your tools to you in a timely way and apologize in advance if we fall behind on our expected timeline. We believe our tools are worth the wait and when they arrive we hope that is your experience as well.

Can I get my tools faster? These tools are made to order so usually the answer is: sadly no, but you can always email us to ask if there’s a way, especially if you have a class to get ready for.
But I’m getting a gift for a birthday/ anniversary/ retirement/ etc. and it’s next week!!! Can I get tools faster? Probably not, unfortunately, but we recommend that you get a Kestrel Tool gift certificate for the person you’re thinking of. Then they can get what they would like at a later date.

I’ve called / emailed and you haven’t gotten back to me yet. WHY? This is a business run by one guy: me. I answer the emails, I call you back and I also make your tools. We don’t have a “customer service department” and your calls are forwarded to a landline at my home. Kestrel Tool isn’t Amazon.com and we don’t aspire to be. We are a small, family-owned, handmade business, focused on making and handcraft. Up until five years ago we didn’t even have an online store. I try to return emails in a timely way, but if you don’t hear back from me right away, I’m busy making your tools (or I could be sick, or on a trip, or visiting relatives, or any number of human activities).
